SUMMARY
Arghemar Perez focuses her practice on international trade, corporate and government regulatory matters.
She serves as an adviser to Venezuelan and non-Venezuelan companies on regulatory issues, antitrust and antidumping matters, structuring, implementation and follow-up of business plans for investments on projects related to mergers and acquisitions, mining, communications, electricity, and oil and gas matters.
Mrs. Perez has experience in drafting and reviewing contracts and general terms and conditions for mining and energy-related activities such as exploitation, generation, production, transmission and distribution.
In addition, she has experience in drafting and reviewing rules and regulations for the communications, electricity and energy sectors. Appearing before the Venezuelan public administration, including the Telecommunications Commission, the Ministry of Energy and Mines, the Antitrust Agency and courts, she has represented non-Venezuelan and Venezuelan corporations.
Mrs. Perez prepares reviews and participates in the bidding processes of licensing, concessions, permits and asset privatizations for the communications, mining and energy sectors.
Mrs. Perez is listed in Chambers Latin America 2010 and PLC Which lawyer? Yearbook 2009 for her competition/antitrust expertise in Venezuela.
